Apple Fair gains in popularity

The son of a Stoke woman found dead in her home earlier this year has told a court he believes she was murdered. Jade Harris, 20, cut off his home detention bracelet in February, blaming the trauma of his “murdered” Nelson mother two weeks earlier. He was sentenced in the Masterton District Court last week to seven months imprisonment after the judge cancelled his home detention sentence. Tracey-Anne Harris, 43, was found dead in her Marlowe St home by police in midFebruary. The body was removed from the house and a post mortem examination was completed, but police say they are still investigating the death. Jade Harris turned himself in to police last week having been on the run since February 29, when he cut off his electronic monitoring bracelet and left his assigned

address. Harris pleaded guilty to breaching the home detention sentence. His lawyer said Harris had been complying with his sentence until February, when he “became aware of problems with his accommodation and wanted to transfer to a new address in Nelson”. It was at that time, on February 12, that Harris’ mother died in “extremely tragic circumstances”, she said, adding that Harris believes she was murdered. After initially opposing home detention cancellation, Harris changed his mind after conferring with his lawyer. The judge cancelled the original home detention sentence and replaced it with seven months imprisonment. He also sentenced him to three months imprisonment for the breach involving removing the bracelet, to be served concurrently. - with New Zealand Herald.

Historic Haven Rd home to be recycled Brittany Spencer A century-old home on Haven Rd is being pulled down bit-by-bit. Bernard Downey is a director of Saltwater Creek Investments Limited, which owns the house. He says the house is uninhabitable and has been unoccupied for quite some time. “The floor was rotten and rats have been living in the roof for 100 years.” The house is thought to have been built between 1904 and 1905 and is listed as a Historic Place Category 2

with Heritage New Zealand. While the house may have served its purpose, the building materials are getting a second chance at life. The plan is to “recycle” the historic house and local Luke King has been pulling it apart, piece by piece. “I’m just trying to preserve its values as much as possible, rather than seeing it demolished,” says Luke. “I don’t like seeing old stuff being destroyed and the demolition crew Bernard spoke to first were going to bring a big digger in and smash it all down.”

Luke says he’s got big plans for all the rimu. “I’m going to build a 1930s heritage-style farmhouse out in The Glen where we sell the fresh milk from Ratabank Farms. It’s going to be a cafe, kitchen and art gallery with a big outdoor pizza oven, baby animals and lots of edible trees, just stuff kids can connect with and see where things come from.” Luke thinks the house used to belong to an old railway union boss. The site will be cleared for a future development but Bernard says he is yet to decide what that may be.

In his hundredth year, Les McElhinney’s has marched his last dawn parade, but it doesn’t stop the World War 2 veteran remembering some “great mates” he lost in the war. Les says he’ll spend his Anzac Day like every other day, in his small home in The Wood. But he will reserve time to remember those who lost their lives at war. “I can’t go anymore, I’m chair-bound but I’ve been to many dawn parades over the years and I’ll still remember.” Les volunteered for war in 1939 but was not called on due to his poor eyesight, instead joining the home guard. In 1941, as New Zealand secured some Pacific Islands, Les was called up to serve in Tonga. He says he was there for a year before

they were called back to New Zealand. “My involvement in the war was small,” he says. “But I did have some great mates who were killed.” Les is part of a growing number of WW2 veterans who can no longer attend services. Nelson RSA president Barry Pont says, while it’s an important day for veterans, Anzac Day is a day for all New Zealanders to remember the sacrifices of others. “It’s a chance to remember the heritage and what the guys who fought in the world wars did for us.” Anzac Day is this coming Monday, April 25. The dawn service will be at Anzac Gardens on Halifax St from 6am. Other services are held at the Church Steps at 9am and Stoke Memorial Hall from 10.15am.

Spooners Tunnel officially opened Jessie Johnston

Spooners Tunnel is officially part of the Great Taste Cycle Trail after the ribbon cutting ceremony took place on Sunday. Over 400 people attended the event which included addresses by Gillian Wratt, chairperson of Nelson Tasman Cycle Trails Trust, mayor Richard Kempthorne and Maureen Pugh, National Party List MP, before the tunnel was blessed by Archdeacon Andy Joseph. Once the ribbon was cut, 357

keen trail users of all ages rode or walked through the tunnel, heading back towards Belgrove. “I thought it was great, we were really pleased with the turn out and enthusiasm people had for the trail and the route through the tunnel,” says Gillian. “We’re looking forward to being able to open the section from Wai-iti to Belgrove later this year, and we’re hopeful of getting the trail through to Kohatu and Tapawera when we have funding to do so.” The overall cost to complete the Spooners tunnel for in-

clusion into the cycle way, including the board walk entrance, was $97,000. Located at the bottom of the Spooners Range, the railway tunnel, which is over 120 years old, runs straight for around 1.35 kilometres, making it the longest disused railway tunnel in the country. Up until its incorporation into the Great Taste Trail, it has only been used for guided tours and monthly walks after it closed in 1955. Bike lights and torches are essential for those looking to make the trip through the tunnel.

Bark fire sends smoke over Stoke Smoke from a bark fire near Nelson Airport blew over large parts of Stoke on Sunday. The fire started early on Sunday morning at a firewood and compost business on Quarantine Rd, and was still burning late into the day. The fire was started by combustion

within a compost mound which drew brigades to the scene just after 8am. A loader operator attempted to break the burning section of the pile away from the main heap but the fire contined to spread, taking over a large portion of the compost heap. Stoke Volunteer Fire Brigade deputy

chief, Tane Simpson, says the fire is obviously deeply seated within the mound, which has required the attendance of four fire service trucks and three rural fire trucks. The fire caused no other damage or concerns. Traffic to a section of Quarantine Rd was also closed for a short time.

New caves found: New subterranean passageways have been uncovered in New Zealand’s Kahurangi National Park. Kiwi singer delights Nelson kids Kate Russell Nelson’s smallest music fans packed out the Victory Community Centre yesterday afternoon for a ‘not your average’ type of concert. Kiwi singer Anika Moa brought her two albums of children’s songs to the centre as part of her nationwide ‘Songs for Bubbas’ tour, which is seeing her play in 18 towns across the country – all for a gold coin entry. But, Moa is running the tour a little differently than usual, and in a unique twist, asked her social media network and fans to suggest venues such as libraries, schools, kindergartens, and even fans’ homes. Belle Clark from Nelson Playcentres, who put her hand up to help organise the event, says the tour attracted “overwhelming interest” from the Nelson community after Moa asked for suggestions for places to play via her Facebook page. “I messaged her on Facebook, as lots of Nelson people, suggested having it at the Victory Community Centre,” says Belle. “She wrote back to me and said: ‘Right - this is what I need, can you do it?’” “The Victory Community Centre was awesome and it was a really nice thing to be involved with.” Moa says that the inspiration for the tour came from the success of her first children’s album, ‘Songs for Bubbas 1’ and that Nelson was a ‘must’ for the tour. “I thought we should take the songs to the kids so they could enjoy their first real live music show and hear songs they were familiar with,” she says. She also said she wanted to play in venues that provided environments kids are comfortable in, and in spaces they have helped create. “The rally from local communities to make this Bubbas tour a load of fun has been inspiring,” she said via her Facebook page.

Apple Fair doubles in size Jessie Johnston It may have started small, but Wakefield’s Apple Fair has blossomed into a major community event in just three years. The first fair was organised by Sylvia Huxstable and the property owner Christine Greider, in order to make the most of the fruit presses and crushers owned by their friends. The second year saw the event receive a $2000 grant from Focus Wakefield, which wished to establish the annual fair and put Wakefield on the Nelson events calendar, as well as provide a fundraising opportunity for local community groups. “It was so successful last year that we’ve doubled in size this year,” says Apple Fair committee member Meredith Rimmer. As well as offering people the chance to bring along their apples for juicing, thanks to a number of hand-operated and mechanical presses, the Apple Fair also included over 40 craft and food stalls, musical entertainment and the chance to explore Willow Bank, the miniature historical village that accommodates the fair. For those who had no apples of their own to juice, two bins of free apples were donated by Hoddy’s Orchard, while another two bins of hail-damaged apples were picked by the fair committee. “We want this to be an annual event, it’s been so successful and we’ve seen so many people meeting and hugging and greeting each other, having not seen each other for ages. It’s just been a lovely community space, as well as a regular event,” says Meredith. Organisers say the number of people who attended isn’t known, although at least 500 vehicles were parked there during the day.

This can also be thought of as saving for your replacement vehicle when the time comes. Consider if public transport would be cheaper; weigh up the convenience against the cost. If you decide that owning a car is right for you, it’s a good idea to save weekly for upcoming costs. A separate bank account helps to keep the money aside. Remember, if the car is purchased using a loan or hire purchase, repayments will be in addition to running costs.

For too long we have had to listen to Cr Rainey bleating about the amount of money spent on sport and recreational activities v the amount spent on the arts. We have already seen the repercussions from the rush job of "propping up" the arts $$$$ allocation by building a white elephant (almost) at the southern end of the Trafalgar Centre. Good on you Rachel, I am sure the vast majority of our region's people who regularly use the sports and recreational facilities will appreciate no longer having to "compete" with a "them v us" balance sheet. NM Health has made their position abundantly clear on the issue, and attempted to shut down the debate. As well, they have presented us with flawed studies in support of their position which do not present accurate analysis. National has made a significant political mistake by trying to ram this one down our throats. Dan McGuire Woodburners still an issue: I see weekly views in your paper by 2016 NCC candidate Mel Courtney. Now that it is getting colder, and the majority of our current council-

The ability to use, or install, an NES compliant woodburner in Nelson is an extremely important issue for many residents, for both financial and health reasons, and so it is important that all residents are aware of where all 2016 council candidates stand on this issue. St Peters church will be focusing its Anzac efforts on remembrance this year, with a movie night and miniature display. Rev Jeff Cotton says his grandfather fought in Belgium in WW1 and his father in the Pacific in WW2, and he wanted to do something to help people remember how horrific war was. “We say lest we forget, but do we actually remember? You know what I mean? It’s kind of dawned on me in the last few years.” So Jeff is hosting a movie night on Saturday, April 23, where they will show the classic

WWII film The Dam Busters. On Anzac Day itself, Monday April 25, the church will be open for people to come and look at a miniature war display that Jeff and his eldest son James worked on. “We started this display in the middle of last year, and in January decided to make a big push and get it finished for Anzac Day.” He says the display is all about remembrance. “Miniatures can look harmless enough but they can also look realistic. “So doing this display, it's not so much ‘look at what we’ve done’, it’s about remembrance. This stuff was only 70 years ago. You can stare at something like this

for quite some time and think ‘gosh, glad I wasn’t there’. It’s kind of honouring these guys because some gave their lives, others their mental health and it’s honouring these guys by not forgetting it and not pushing it into the background.” There are two displays for people to view, one modelled on the French city of Caen, which is the first town the Allies arrived at after D-Day. The other is set on a Pacific island during WW2. The movie night starts from 6.30pm and is entry by gold coin at St Peters Church in Atawhai. The miniature display is free and open from 11am to 2pm.

The Nelson Surf Life Saving Club has a new $30,000 inflatable rescue boat (IRB), after their story of a dramatic rescue during last February's big storm was judged to be the winning entry in a nationwide competition run by BP. BP is a major sponsor of surf life-saving in New Zealand and has been running the competition for the last three years to recognise the important role IRBs play in saving people's lives. This year, the Nelson Surf Life Saving Club won the competition after their story of an IRB rescue on the Waimea River was voted the best entry by BP staff around the country. "We responded to a 111 call during the big February floods saying there were some people stranded in a car in the Waimea River," Nelson Surf Life Saving Club president Marcus Gardner says. "We put our IRB into the floodwaters and had to cut our way through about four farm fences to battle our way up to the car. "The car was up on a little

Photo: Simon Bloomberg rise and the floodwaters were up to the wheels and getting higher, so we decided we had to get them out of there in a hurry. We put the three young adults and ninemonth-old baby into the boat, with the baby wrapped inside the mother's lifejacket, and took them back to safety." Marcus says they found out that their story won the competition about three weeks ago when he got "a call out of the blue" from BP and Surf Life Saving New Zealand. "It was a bit of a shock. The whole set-up costs around

$30,000, so it's a big expense for the club. "It's a great prize. We do a lot with the IRBs, not just at the beach but also in floodwaters because they are so versatile and can be man-handled or airlifted into any situation. "To rescue those people we had to throw it over a barbwire fence and up a stopbank. You can get them into places that you can't get other boats." Club captain Aaron Lyttle says the win was timely because they needed to replace two of their older IRBs. "We had discussed replacing

the boats at the last committee meeting, so it was good timing," Aaron says. "We had joked at the meeting that we had it sorted because we'd entered the competition and were going to win a boat, and it turned out we did." Aaron says the last pieces of equipment for the IRB, which came with a trailer, outboard motor, fuel bladder, two personal floatation devices and $100 worth of fuel, arrived in Nelson two weeks ago. It was displayed at the opening of the new BP Connect service station in Richmond last Tuesday. "We just want to say a big thanks to BP," Mark says. "They are a great sponsor of surf life-saving." BP's director of convenience retail and asset management, Frank van Hattum, says BP has sponsored New Zealand surf life-saving since 1968. "It's one of the most feelgood sponsorships. It's been something special - if we had a big cost-cutting, this would be one of the last things we'd give up. "You know that somewhere one of these boats is going to help save lives."

Nelson hosts pastel exhibition Jessie Johnston Pastel artists from around the country currently have their masterpieces displayed in Mapua Hall for the PANZ National Art Awards and Convention. Pastel Artists of New Zealand (PANZ) holds the event annually, alternating between North and South Island venues, and this year Nelson played host to around 50 artists and over 100 paintings. This year the event is combining a public exhibition with the group’s national art awards, their AGM, a convention involving marketing and art critiquing, and two, two day master classes with American pastel artist, Stan Sperlak. While all artists belonging to PANZ can take part in the different activities, only a select few had the chance to exhibit. Artists wishing to be part of the exhibition had the

Nelson is currently the

biggest group in the country with around 60 members “and on the opening night, three pictures were sold and they were all from the Nelson group,” says PANZ Nelson member, Sue England. While no local artists received first place or runner-up in the awards, Bill Burke, who

was the overall winner at the 2012 event, took out one of the four merit awards. The exhibition, which started on Friday, will be running until May 1. Members of the public are welcome to come and explore the works of art daily between 9am and 4pm.

Top pianist to perform for school of music Nelson School of Music patron and leading New Zealand pianist Michael Houstoun is to perform a fundraising concert to support the School’s redevelopment project. The concert will be performed on the School’s ‘Sturgeon Steinway’ piano at Old St John’s in Hardy St, 8pm on Saturday, April 23. School of Music spokesman Bob Bickerton says it is a great tribute to the school to have this support from New Zealand’s most prominent international pianist. Houstoun says his own connection to the Nelson School of Music goes back to his earliest days of public performance. “I feel I have been playing there all my life. Some years ago I became a patron of the school along with Dame Malvina Major and this formalised my relationship. So it feels absolutely natural and right for me to be involved in fundraising for the rebuild. I hope people will come along and that we’ll be able to throw a good amount of money into the rebuild ‘pot’.” The Nelson School of Music is currently undergoing a $6.4 million redevelopment project following closure due to earthquake risk. This concert is part of a community fundraising programme. Tickets are $45 and available from the Theatre Royal 548 3840 or theatreroyalnelson.co.nz

Your Family’s Health vs Your Money When someone in your family is diagnosed with a serious illness you have three choices;

Nelson murder brought to life in play

Maungatapu Murder play actor Cameron West, left, writer Justin Eade, centre, and actor Nick Kemplen, outside the historic fire engine house which was reportedly used to house the bodies of the Maungatapu Murder victims. Photo: Brittany Spencer.

One of Nelson’s most intriguing murder cases will be brought to life this week, as part of Heritage Week 2016. ‘Maungatapu,’ will tell the story of the Maungatapu murders by the notorious Burgess gang, which caused a sensation in Nelson back in 1866 when five men went missing on the Maungatapu track between Nelson and Wairau. Commissioned especially for Heritage Week, seasoned local actors Cameron West and Nick Kemplen will play the murderous pair, Burgess and Sullivan. The gripping account has been written and produced by Justin Eade, who says audiences can expect a compelling tale. “Heavily based on Burgess' “confession”, this short, two-handed play examines in particular the relationship between Burgess and Sullivan, and speculates on their motivations and thoughts about one another,” he says.

Kate Russell Reporter

kate@nelsonweekly.co.nz

“It's difficult to get at the truth of this case even 150 years later, given both of these men probably lied in their accounts, but having researched Burgess' writings, court transcripts and many of the books written about it, this is my interpretation of what might have happened.” Nelson City councillor Pete Rainey, says that heritage week this year is all about “discoveries.” “This new play encompasses that brilliantly, with unexpected twists and turns which the audience is able to experience,” he says. The play will be on 20 23rd April at 7pm, and 21 - 24 April at 3pm, in the NMIT Johnny Cash room. Gold coin entry, with a question and answer session following the performance. Heritage week runs from 16 – 24 April. For the full programme visit www.nelson.govt.nz.

• But wait! There’s more appliances to be won. We’re running a competition on the Richmond Mall Facebook page asking people to take a photo of their oldest appliance, post it to our Facebook page and every day for a week we will give a new appliance away. Photos need to be uploaded before Monday, May 2 and appliances will be given away every day from May 2 until May 6. • The mall is hosting its holiday programme every week day during the school holidays from 11am to 2pm(Mondays to Fridays, Except Anzac Day). It will be held in the old O’Neill’s site next to Buonissimo. Two of the walls have been turned into giant blackboards where the kids can get creative while they wait for their turn to take part in the special activity. With Mother’s day just around the corner, the children will make a wee gift box, and will be supplied with poems and chocolates to go inside, and there will still be plenty of room to put an extra gift in if they want to buy something extra for Mum. The programme is free for children and everyone that participates will get a free soft serve cone from McDonalds.

SAVE THE CHILDREN: Margaret Hackston, Amy Hill, Nancy Cowan and Isabelle Jones of the Save the Children Fair committee, with some of the second-hand items to be sold on the day. The fair, which is being held this Saturday at the Stoke Memorial Hall, is an annual event and the biggest fundraising activity for the local group. The fair begins at 9am and will run until 12pm, selling everything including fresh vegetables from local growers, homemade cakes, jams and other produce, white elephant items, books, clothing, outside equipment, and plants from a local nursery. The fair is possible thanks to around 60 volunteers who help with the set-up and selling on the day, and this year the fair's proceeds will be going to two different causes. The first being in Bangladesh, working alongside local partners in the Daulatdia brothel to provide quality education for children there, while the second project, in the Philippines, works within schools to teach children how to prepare for and respond to disasters. Richmond Cars and Commercials are constantly improving the services they can offer their clients and after recently relocating to bigger and better premises, they’ve now expanded their team with two new members of staff. Rick Thompson is a familiar name in the industry and an even more familiar face, having worked in the region for over 40 years as a reputable vehicle salesman. With a family heavily involved in motorcars, Rick says his life-long career was a natural progression, and one that he has enjoyed very much over the years. “I enjoy meeting repeat customers more than anything, that’s the satisfying bit, the people factor,” says Rick. The decision to work for Richmond Cars and Commercials was a no brainer with Rick already having worked alongside the businesses owners, Peter Sturkenboom and Dan Fisher in previous companies.

w w w. supercha rgebatter ies. co. nz www.superchargebatteries.co.nz

“Rick is a senior salesman with over 40 years in the motor trade industry, in the Nelson region, and he’s got a massive clientele that have followed him from yard to yard, so it’s a really big asset to have Rick working as part of the sales team,” says Dan. “He’s got a no pressure approach to sales and has a lot of knowledge right across the board.” While Rick looks after clients in the car yard, Brian Newman is Richmond Cars and Commercial’s dedicated business manager, dealing with the paper work, the finance and the insurance. “We decided we needed someone specialising in the finance side of things, we’re able to offer some very competitive finance packages right now across the board, for cars, motor homes and boats, and because it’s a very specialised job, we need someone like Brian, rather than taking the sales team away from the yard where they’re needed to help clients,” says Dan.

Parents usually get to choose what their children wear every morning, but the roles will be reversed next month as Nelson families prepare for fashion mayhem - all in the name of charity. ‘Kids Dress a Grown-up Day’ is a fundraiser for Family Works - one of Nelson’s oldest social services agencies, and on May 13th parents are being encouraged to let their toddler, child or tween raid their wardrobes and jewellery boxes and dress them for the day. Family Works Regional Manager Chris Walsh says they are asking offices and sports teams to get in on the fun, simply by registering an event online – which could be a morning tea, lunch or sports practice. “We’re asking parents to let their kids choose their outfits and turn up to work or practice with a gold coin,” he says. “It’s

Andrew Board The region’s top kettlebell competition is being held in Stoke this weekend. The Physical Culture Kettlebell Sport Open is now in its third year and is run by local kettlebell lifter Heath Bowman. Kettlebells are popular in many gyms as a cross-trainer, but the sport itself has a serious following. Heath says kettlebell sport “kind of mirrors” Olympic weight lifting. “So there is a snatch, a clean and jerk. Each event is a ten-minute set, you can’t put the bells down in that time and the goal is to do as many reps as you can in that ten minutes. So it’s very endurance focussed.” Heath says 11 locals will be joined by four or five lifters from Auckland and one from Christchurch.

“It’s not for everyone, but no sport is for everyone. It’s a very tough sport to do, it takes a lot of training by yourself and the battle is within yourself.” He says the sport has a good following in Nelson and it’s a sport that “tends to be very addictive”. “It’s physically tough but it’s the mental challenge that people love. When you’re standing there with two bells in your hands after seven minutes and you’re stuffed, thinking ‘I’ve still got three to go’. That’s a mental challenge.” The competition is being held on Saturday, April 23, at Evolve Fitness Solutions on 4a Fuji Court in Stoke. Everyone is welcome to come and watch. Giants welcome closest rivals to Nelson Jacob Page

Nelson Giants coach Tim Fanning says the NBL’s playoff picture will be a lot clear after his team’s two games this week. The table topping Mike Pero Nelson Giants welcome the third placed Southland Sharks on Thursday night at the Trafalgar Centre, before an Anzac Day showdown with the Canterbury Rams who sit in second. The Giants are coming off a 111100 defeat at home to the Super City Rangers. “This weekend will make the playoff picture a lot clearer for everyone,” Tim says. “It’s a big weekend.” Giants captain Sam Dempster is still in doubt for both games after he was ruled out of the Rangers game due to injury. Fanning says his rebounding and physical presence was missed but he is confident he has the players to pick up the slack. “We have to get tougher on defence and get our share of rebounds,” Tim says. “Sam was a loss for us in that area but I know we have the players to cover when they are mentally in the zone.” Fanning says his team was eager to atone for their performance.

Mike Pero Nelson Giants’ Ali Granger dribbles the ball in his side’s loss to the Waitareke Super City Rangers at the Trafalgar Centre on Saturday night. Photo: Barry Whitnall/Shuttersport. “We scored enough points in that loss to be able to win games but our transition defence has to get better.” The Giants ended Southland’s 15game unbeaten run by beating

them in Invercargill in week one, something Tim says gives them plenty of confidence. The Sharks are coming off a big 23-point win over the Rams on the weekend and are likely to have

the services of new American import Demetrius Miller, a the combo guard who recently played in Romania. Tim says he has only watched a little bit of video on him but

he expects him to be a player to watch. “We’ve had a great first half of the season but we know we have to keep it going because the league this year is so even.”

Defending champs win preseason tournament Carol Cook Prices Pharmacy has secured back-to-back Geraldine Hodgson Tournament preseason netball titles. The defending champions went unbeaten through the tournament at Saxton Stadium on the weekend and easily defeated Jacks OPD 23-10 in the decider. Prices Pharmacy were only tested by Stoke NBS in the semifinal, while Jacks OPD overcame a pool play loss to Marlborough Girls’ College to extract revenge when it mattered most and make the decider. Prices coach, Mandy Whiting says her girls had to work hard for the win over Jacks, and the score was not a true indication of the tightly-contested game. New recruit Rayna Olsen came in for praise as she adjusted to wing attack, while the defensive duo of Sarah Steele and Dayna Whiting displayed great

communication as they read one another’s play. Jacks’ coach Robyn Leonard felt her charges played “pretty good” considering they were without classy mid courters Jodi Hikuroa-Jeffery and Jess Drummond. Young Holly Young took her opportunities in their absence and impressed, while defender Jordan Webby could be well pleased with her efforts. It was a similar story in the B Grade with Stoke Sportswise Stars having the perfect record, which culminated in their 21-17 win over another previously unbeaten team in Marlborough’s Tokomaru. Rival Jade took out the C Grade, while Golden Bay High School and Collingwood Area School will have their names engraved on the D & E Grade trophies respectively. Motueka High School 10A claimed the Collegiate spoils while the classy

Sadly, many people still don’t know that getting milk delivered is easy and convenient. Sadly, they don’t know they have a choice of Anchor, Wangapeka or reusable glass bottled, Oaklands Milk. Sadly, those that do know, still won’t get around to ringing or texting me to arrange for milk to be delivered. Are you the sort of person that cares about the environment, is self motivated, bubbly and prepared to help me market my business through the internet, leaflet drops, advertising and good old fashioned door knocking?
